Grayfilm in May

imageMay in New York City. It really doesn't get any better. From the dreaded rain-filled weekends to skipping over puddles at 7am on your way to work it comes as no surprise that May is our best month of the year. OK maybe July or August will suffice for the beach goers. But its agreeable once the rainy weeks of April are over May opens the door to some pretty amazing weather.

One of the events we are gladly partaking in is the annual Entertainment Industry Foundation Revlon Run/Walk from Times Square to Central Park. It's not too late to register this year's event takes place on Saturday May 3rd with registration still taking place before the start. 40,000 participants are expected you should join and show support.

Sakura Matsuri, New York City's "Rite of Spring," marks its 27th year with over 60 events and performances celebrating Japanese culture and the blossoming of Brooklyn Botanic Garden's 220 cherry trees. The event is free with adminssion and is held on May 3rd and 4th 10:00am to 6pm. Rain or shine. That's absolutely right. Rain or shine. Got to love New York!

New York City in May would not be complete without street fairs. And there definitely are no shortages. Romania Day Festival, Tribeca Family Festival, Second Avenue Street Fair and the list continues. And let's not forget about Cinco De Mayo slowly approaching us. Click here to see the complete list of street fairs and Festivals.
